For museums, zoos and heritage sites

A school group is booked, and the trail is a photocopy

Build a trail visiting groups play from a QR code at the door, in the browser, with nothing to install and no accounts. Questions and photo missions at each stop work indoors with no GPS, and the photos a group takes collect in one place you can show afterwards.

How a trail comes together

Describe the visit

Say which rooms or exhibits the group will pass and what you want them to notice. AI drafts the stops, the questions and the photo missions for you to correct.

Make it sound like you

Rewrite the questions in your own voice, put a fact where you would normally say one out loud, and drop the stops that are closed this month. Prefer full control? Build every stop by hand.

Hand over a QR code at the door

Groups scan it and start. Nothing to install, no accounts, and the photos they take on the way collect in one place you can look at afterwards.

Ways education teams use it

Build it once, then run it for every booking. A few places to start:

A booked school group

Replace the photocopied worksheet with a trail on the phones the group already brought, with a question at each stop instead of a blank box.

One trail per key stage

The same rooms, different questions, so a Year 3 group and a Year 9 group are not handed the same sheet.

Half term family trail

Something for families to do without a member of staff walking with them, running from opening to closing.

A temporary exhibition

Build a trail for the show that is up now, and unrelease it the day it comes down.

Zoo, park or heritage site route

Outdoor stops with location, indoor stops with QR codes, in the same trail, so the whole site works.

Proof for a funder

The photos a group submitted and the numbers behind their visit, which is a better report than a headcount.

Why it works on a site visit

  • No app to install and no accounts, so a visiting class can start at the door.
  • QR and photo missions work indoors, where there is no signal and no GPS.
  • Photos and audio the group captured collect on their finish screen.
  • AI checks photo answers, so a stop can ask for the right thing, not just any thing.
  • Play it yourself first with a free test run, before a group ever sees it.
  • Release once and run the same trail for every booking after that.

What a paid plan adds

Everything above works on the free plan. These are the parts that matter once somebody asks what the visit achieved:

What the visit actually did

Step by step difficulty, session by session detail, and the answers groups really gave. The evidence a funder or a director asks for.

The stop that is not working

After a trail has been played a few times, a report reads the real submissions, names the stop people got stuck on, and suggests one concrete edit. Every count and every quoted answer comes from real play.

A different route per group

Custom routes send two groups through the same rooms in a genuinely different order, so they are not standing in the same doorway.

The education team in one place

Unlimited collaborators, so the trail is not locked inside one person's account when they are off that week.

Not quite your situation?

Questions people ask

There is no signal in some of our rooms. Does it still work?

A stop can be a QR code, a photo mission or a question, and none of those need GPS. Use location only where it is reliable, usually outdoors, and use QR codes indoors.

Do visiting students need an app or an account?

No. They scan a QR code or open a link and play in the browser. Nothing is installed on a school device and no student signs up for anything.

What if it goes wrong with thirty children in the room?

Play it yourself first. A test run gives you a link and a QR code and lets you walk the whole trail on your own phone, exactly as a group will experience it, before anyone is booked in. It is free on every plan.

Can it look like us rather than like a product?

The words are all yours. Every question, clue and message is text you write or rewrite, and you can leave a note of your own at any stop for the group to read after they solve it.

What do we get to show afterwards?

The photos and audio a group submitted collect on their finish screen. On a paid plan you also get the numbers behind the visit and the answers people gave, which is what makes a report to a funder concrete.

Can we run different trails for different age groups?

Yes. Build one trail per age group and release each one at its own link, so a booking gets the right questions for the group that turned up.
