About these terms
HedgeHunt is a tool for building and sharing real-world treasure hunts and scavenger hunts. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. What HedgeHunt does
You can create a hunt by describing it and letting AI draft it, or by building every step by hand. You then share a link, and players open it in their phone browser and play. The service includes the builder, AI generation and editing, hosting of your hunts, and the player experience.
Your account
You are responsible for your account and for the activity that happens under it. Keep your login secure. You must be old enough to enter a binding agreement in your country to hold an account. If you create hunts for children, you do so as the responsible adult organising the activity.
Acceptable use
Do not use HedgeHunt to:
- Break the law, or direct players to trespass, endanger themselves, or harm others.
- Upload or generate content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, or infringes someone else's rights.
- Send players to private property or restricted areas without permission.
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or overload the service.
You are responsible for the routes and locations you choose. Build hunts that are safe and legal for the people playing them.
The hunts you create
Your hunts, clues, photos, and other content are yours. You keep ownership. By using HedgeHunt, you grant us the permission needed to host, process, and display that content so the service can work, for example serving your hunt to the players you share it with. You are responsible for having the rights to any content you upload.
Phones and payments
Building is free. You can create as many hunts as you like, and every hunt can be played by up to 5 phones each month at no cost. A phone is one device playing a hunt, so a team sharing one phone counts once. AI features have monthly limits, the same for everyone. The builder shows how many AI edits you have left.
When a hunt needs more phones, you buy them. Phone packs of 15, 50 and 150 phones are bought once, on your account, and work on all of your hunts. Packs add up. Your phones are valid for 12 months after your latest purchase, and each purchase moves that date forward for all the phones you still have. Current prices are on the pricing page. Prices are in euros, taxes included.
When a hunt has used its free phones for the month and your account has no phones left, the next phone to join sees that the hunt is full and when it opens again. A game already running is never interrupted.
Payments are processed by Stripe, which also sends your invoice. At checkout you agree to these terms and ask us to make the phones available at once. Within 14 days you can withdraw from a pack for a full refund as long as no phone from it has been used; once a phone from the pack has been used, your right of withdrawal ends and the pack cannot be refunded. We do not give partial refunds. Details are in the refund policy.
Hunt Passes bought or received as a gift before October 6, 2026, and yearly subscriptions bought before it, keep what they bought: those hunts have unlimited phones, and those accounts have unlimited phones while the subscription is paid.

Availability and changes
We work to keep HedgeHunt reliable, but we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error free. We may add, change, or remove features as the product develops. If a change seriously affects phones you have paid for, we will aim to give reasonable notice.
Disclaimers and liability
HedgeHunt is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or incidental losses, or for anything that happens during a hunt that is outside our control, including how and where you choose to send players. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will try to let you know.
