I used to organise treasure hunts at university through a student association. Then I stopped making them for
years.
A few years ago, my girlfriend made one for my birthday. She hid things for me to find, each clue leading to the
next, with small presents along the way and the big one at the end. I loved every minute of it. She made a few
more after that, and I made one for her. It became something we did for each other.
When I later looked for a tool to build one, most of what I found seemed aimed at company events. I wanted a
simpler option for anyone making a hunt for people they care about. That is where HedgeHunt came from.
And the logo? The hedgehog is real. His name is Riciu, and he was a birthday present from my best friends and my
girlfriend. The logo was drawn from his photo.
